Many hyaluronic acid products have come out in the market recently, however, they have a big disadvantage that hyaluronic acid is absorbed in the body, and the effects after the application easily disappear within a week or in a few weeks.
There are some products that make hyaluronic acid maintain longer before the absorption by cross-linking hyaluronic acids using BDDE.
But toxic problems regarding this ingredient are reported.
To solve this problem, some biocompatible and biodegradable polymer products were developed that contain micro-sized particle dispersed in the viscid media.
Two types of polymer products are commonly used; the particles of 20 to 50um poly lactic acid(PLA) is dispersed in a liquid and another one is that the particles of 20-50um polycaprolactone(PCL) is dispersed in carboxymethylcellulose(CMS) and glycerin liquid.
But they have an issue that microparticles are sometimes stuck in the needle and it shows effect to the localized part since it does not spread to the entire face.
